I've listened to Popular a few times now and I'm only feeling three songs. The first two albums were much more immediate. I'm hoping it will grow on me.

Popular is more complex than his previous 2 albums. A number of songs have somewhat dissonant harmonies, the chorus are not immediate. But after a few listens I am starting to love it, although there are 2 or 3 fillers | |

I may be in the minority but Popular is probably my least favorite of his CDs. I still like it, I just like OTJF a LOT better. | |
