I was a little underwhelmed by him. I thought he needed more work on his vocals and though I respect Pharrell and Chad's production work but as a band...blah.

Agreed. His vocals are quite mediocre. The music carries him.

Actually... I absolutely love this album, "Make Sure They See My Face". It harkens back to the 80's sound with a Rik Ocasek, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Bowie type of feel and voice to it.

I haven't heard the CD - only the song. I was speaking on the live performance. That was unimpressive to me. I'll check out the album.

nod Co-sign. That's also what I'm speaking in reference to as well. And as the saying goes, if an artist can't cut it live then, they still need some work. Just my observation. shrug
