Let's add Jim Morrison from 'The Doors' to this list.

One of the most overrated 'singers' ever.

He doesn't have a great voice but I like The Doors nonetheless.

Best living rock vocalist for my two cents?

No contest.

Best vocal range, most powerful, best frontman..

Other faves of mine:

John Bush (ex-Anthrax)

Freddie. Would have stolen the lead as "best living rock vocalist" if he had been, well, you know, living.

Phil Anselmo (ex-Pantera, now with Down)

Bruce "Air Raid Siren" Dickinson (Iron Maiden)
This is not an exit

I'll repeat, Steve Marriott. I really do deem anyone who neglect to mention him an idiot. He's better than Freddie, Robert Plant is just a dollar store Steve Marriott. It's hard to compare but I put him ahead of Freddie Mercury. I don't think theres even any discussions about anyone else. Atleast intelligent, educated people can have discussions about Steve and Freddie.
