CLASSIC FLOPS

What songs are classics today that were not commercial hits during their release?
tho' I battled blind
love is a fate resigned
memories mar my mind
love it is a fate resigned

Over futile odds
and laughed at by the Gods
and now the final frame
Love is a losing game

I bet you could name at least a dozen hip-hop tracks.

I think it was a hit in the UK but I believe that John Lennon's "Happy X-Mas (War Is Over)" was a bit of a flop when it was first released. I guess you could say the same thing about "Imagine" to a lesser degree.
