Usually a song you can sing along to. People Love to be able to either sing along or whistle along to a song they like. That usually makes a hit....simplicity is key IMO.

Not every hit single since the charts were introduced were hits because of payola, sleeping with DJ's and record execs and about 1% of the hit songs of the last 50 years have been "shit hop". So what made those songs hits? The songs made before this current age of music that you all hate so much.
