Remember this? Fire & Desire (Live @ BET Awards)

falloff falloff falloff
tho' I battled blind
love is a fate resigned
memories mar my mind
love it is a fate resigned

Over futile odds
and laughed at by the Gods
and now the final frame
Love is a losing game

I remember the exact night I was watching that performance at the 2003 BET Awards on TV. It scared the hell out of me and I knew Rick was just out of his mind. It was a very sad thing to watch. eek

oh snap! i'd been looking for this on youtube since i first seen it. this is sorta sad since that performance was done not too long before rick passed, but still...it is a classic, grade A, low-rent, hot and sweaty ghetto mess. i love me some rick and teena, in them young-assed outfits... lol

But, if you could've saw Slick sing this cut in his prime live, it was sublime. He tried to present the preformance like he used to do he was younger. The man could sang a love ballad like an Opera singer. He was ahead of his time. R.I.P. Rick

You know that's right. Rick knew his way around a love ballad and could turn it out.
