Have you ever regretted taking someone up on a recommendation? There's Joy In Expatriation.

Have you ever regretted taking someone up on a recommendation? You liked the songs I sent you before you bought it. It's not my fault you look like a wet blanket. I love them, PS. |

I'm totally starting to get into "crunchy" music. I went to a house concert last weekend and there was a duo called The Courtney Janes that were really cool. Very folky. The headliner was an acquaintance of mine by the name of HEATHER COMBS. I love her!!!!! She's more "folk rock". MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! usually, magnetic fields aren't very crunchy at all. they're kinda somewhere between chamber music and electronic. their new album is kind of a departure. it kinda reminds me of when REM did "monster", only the MF album isn't as glam.

This thread is officially making me feel old.
I don't know what "crunchy" means in this context. I'm firmly planted in denial

I don't know what "crunchy" means in this context. by 'crunchy' i just mean there's a lot of distorted guitar sound, as opposed to the very clean, 'smooth' sound of their past albums.

Ex-Moderator | Since we're on the topic, their latest album is one of the 3 new albums I've purchased in the last 12 months. And I like it considerably.

I just remember my mom had an album of his and I taped part of it (notice how long ago this was. I said "tape". As in cassette tape. ) on what I used to call a "trip tape" which is music I'd bring along to listen to when my friends and I tripped on acid or mushrooms. Yeah, I'm pretty dane bramaged by now. Which kind of goes without saying though I suppose. just proven by the edit [Edited 2/28/08 4:16am] "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

He always goes on about how any artist who has to deflect the attention away from their material by using laser beams HAS to be rubbish. That's his opinion, not mine.

Well, according to that theory, he must hate just about every prog rock band of the 70's as well.
