It’s a privilege and an honor to have somebody like that girl. I don’t think she looks like me, but that’s all right. They can fix that up…I wasn’t as bourgie as she is, she’s bourgeois. She knows how to be a lady, she’s like a model. I wasn’t like that… I smoked in the bathroom in school, I was kinda arrogant, so those are some of the things I would want to tell her.

She also says she wonders if Beyonce will be able to do a song the way she could….and she’ll teach her a few things. Gotta love her.






Beyonce Knowles is set to appear on the big screen again, this time as legendary soul singer Etta James.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Destiny Child's singer will play James in the new film "Cadillac Records," which tells the story of label Chess Records in the 1950s and the lives of some of its most famous recording artists including Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry.

Oscar winner Adrien Brody will star in the movie as label co-founder Leonard Chess, while the label's lineup of musicians will be played by Knowles, Jeffrey Wright, Cedric the Entertainer and Columbus Short, among others.

Darnell Martin ("Their Eyes Were Watching God") is tapped to direct.

Besides appearing in the film, Beyonce will act as one of the movie's executive producers and will reportedly record four songs for the movie's soundtrack.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, she will also donate a portion of her fees from the film to the Survivor Foundation, a charity for recovering drug addicts.

It's not Beyonce's first foray into movies -- she previously appeared in 2002's "Austin Powers In Goldmember" and 2006's "Dreamgirls." Beyonce received two Golden Globe nominations for the latter film, Best Actress in a Motion Picture and Best Original Song.

Rosie Gains-This sista can vocally accomodate Etta vocal styling. The only thing Be has going for her is in the look department. But vocally, she can carry Etta's vocals.

On a side note: I f most of you notice on the Grammy's night, she wasn't able to even able to physically or vocally with the originally Ms Legs-legenary Tina Turner. Its a fact that alot of these pop tarts like Bee, Rhinanna, Ciara and all of the rest can't compare with the legends. Case Closed.

Etta underestimates Be. She's not as bourgie as Etta thinks.

But there's precedent. Diana Ross played Lady Day, who was probably rougher around the edges than Miss Ross.

ROSIE GAINES, MAYSA, LAYLA HATHAWAY, queen latifah, (MMMM I AM NOT SURE)I aint' feeling this one. Beyonce should play her earlier years and then have someone else play her as she ages. Need someone with some houndog in them.
