Still is, always has been, always will be ... As if I had to ask . . . Simply transcendent. In a way, to call it an album is almost an insult, but what other word would do? Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Simply transcendent. In a way, to call it an album is almost an insult, but what other word would do? To me, it's the most sacred piece of music ever recorded. But that's just me. I rarely listen to it, because it's that special. You cannot just listen to it .. you need to experience it. Lay down, light incense, maybe hit a doobie .. you need to dive into it. At least that's how I do it. | |

IAintTheOne said: Hip me... to it It was a collection put together in conjunction with an exhibit at the new Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. It features R&B tracks recorded in Nashville by artists like Joe Tex and tracks from R&B artists based here in Nashville. It spans 1945 to 1970. These are tracks I'm hearing for the first time and they are old-fashioned, quintessential rhythm and blues tracks and they did a great job remastering them. The sound is clear as day. You might want to check the usual places like dustygroove.com et al. for vinyl, but here's the home site. http://www.nighttraintonashville.com/ Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
