Dat wuz my defense argument during my last trial. And the answer is yes. Yes it is. At least in my case it wuz, yo. Guys, that was the whole point of the My Life album. Every song samples or builds around an important song in her life. Outside of the actual cover, "I'm Going Down," the album is new lyrical content set to songs she loves. And it's excellent -- still her best. I get that it builds around songs that affected her life, but I still don't like that album. I don't know what it is, but I cannot listen to that album from start to finish. Man, I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling that way about My Life. I usually get blasted for not liking it, but I guess it's just a personal thing. It's okay to feel that way too. I'm totally not knocking you for it. I actually think Share My World is better than My Life. But at least on Growing Pains, she ain't used too many samples.
