Why?? I came to Vegas on the 30th with a ticket for the 31st I had purchased online ($ 325). There I found out that I could attend the show of the 30th for $ 150. Both aftershows cost me $ 50 a time.....it was well worth the money!
I also believe I will never see Prince live again.....

I spent about 900$ for 4 front row tickets to see Matchbox Twenty back in 2003. That was all of my high school graduation gift money from EVERYONE down the drain. It was a great show though. They came with Sugar Ray and Maroon 5. (This was before Maroon 5 had really caught on.)

On a lighter note, I spent about 60$ (for 2 tickets) to see Billy Joel this past December. They were cheap seats, but when we got there, he had a hard time selling tickets, so they were giving free upgrades. We got like 10th row from the stage. Not bad for 30$ each. smile

One last one...

I don't know if this counts but I think it does.....I also spent TONS of money on gas, to drive from Kansas to California to see Michael Jackson during his trial back in 2005. I got into the court room for free each day I went, and got to see Michael. At one point, there was a moment when a few of us fans were waiting for him to walk out, he walked right by us, stopped, and we all said kind of softly, "Love you Michael" and he looked at us, smiled and blew us a kiss, smiled at us again and walked away. That meant the world to me! For 3 days straight, I got to see my childhood hero with my own eyes. (I also got to meet and talk to Frank DiLeo and make friends with J. Randy Taraborrelli as a result.) So I think the trip was well worth it! While this may not count, I say it does, because I spent my own money to drive there and I was going to SEE Michael Jackson. (It just so happens the day I went, me and my friend both got inside the court room, and got to see Chris Tucker and Jay Leno. Chris Tucker was really nice to people, smiling and greeting anyone as he walked by. As for Jay, well... My friend sat right next to Jay Leno, while Jay was waiting to testify. He was pretty thrilled to be that close to Jay Leno. As for me, I didn't care, Michael Jackson was in the room. Jay ain't got nothin' on Michael.) wink

I've never spent more than $100 AUD. I spent that much to see Justin Timberlake. lol. I spent $95 to see Destiny's Child and Creed a few years ago to- before that, in the 1990's, I never spent more than $50-$60 on a concert ticket.
