It's perfect. I think I love all the songs.

I melt when I listen to "It's the Falling in Love"

my man even loves "Girlfriend" (heknowswhoheb&hellpopupinthethreadinafewseconds!)

As an album, I agree, it is better. And the first five songs are in particular amazing! But I also love Thriller.

Eh, they're both excellent. I think Thriller has higher highs ("Human Nature," "Billie Jean"), but Off the Wall is slightly more consistent. You can't go wrong with either. music

Well I love "Thriller", but Off The Wall is my favorite MJ album. OTW was Michael at his funkiest and it's his best dance album by far. I love every song on there except for "She's Out Of My Life", it's too sappy for my tastes lol. My absolute fave song from that album though is probably the title track. No matter how many times I hear it, I never get tired of listening to it. That album is a masterpiece as far as i'm concerned.

You love "Girlfriend" but don't like "She's out of my life"?? How can you?? "Girlfriend" is on of the most cheesiest songs he ever sang... I hate that song... how can a Beatle come up with crap like this and then give it away?

When I put on Off The Wall, I usually start with "Girlfriend". shrug
It's a fine tune and quite poignant if you've ever been in a triangle situation like that.

While Girlfriend and The Girl Is Mine are my least favorite songs on Off the Wall and Thriller respectively, both songs have their charms. There are days that I do enjoy listening to them.

This is my favorite by far. It has aged very well and unlike "Thriller", I can still play all of "OTW", without skipping any tracks.

I know a lot of people wont agree with this, but IMO he kept improving and getting better with each album right up until invincible.

Off The Wall is cool. It's got a lot of decent tracks. It's fresh and still playable today. But Thriller trumps it IMO. Billie Jean, Beat It and Human Nature are enough by themselves to be better than the entire OTW album. I never skip any song on either album because they are short. This I like. But if I had an hour spare and I had two options to keep me entertained for that hour, OTW or Thriller, I'd likely put on Thriller.

Then there's Bad. IMO, which is not shared be many so called "credible" music critics and just general music listeners, it is better than Thriller. Billie Jean, Beat It, Human Nature, these songs are classic. But most of the time I prefer songs like The Way You Make Me Feel, Man in the Mirror, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, Leave Me Alone, Another Part of Me, Speed Demon... nearly the whole album is classic. There are a couple like I Just Can't Stop Loving You, Liberian Girl, Just Good Friends and Bad that are a little meh. But there only meh in comparison to the awesome songs on Bad. When on their own they're still awesome songs.

Dangerous, as a lot of fans will tell you, is Mike's finest hour. I would take his follow up over this one. But Dangerous still trumps everything he did prior to this. The only problem is that he's in the age of compact discs and so he's able to put more songs on the albums, which means more fillers. Depending on what mood you're in, there are no fillers on Dangerous. But I usually skip over Black or White, Heal the World, Keep the Faith and Gone Too Soon. Gone Too Soon can be good if you're in the mood for it. If you're in the mood, then Heal The World can be an amazing song. Depending on my mood, I can listen to HTW and think it's the greatest song ever. But I've never personally been in the mood for BOW of KTF. The only time I listen to BOW is when I'm watching the video. Because the video is too cool. But apart from the songs I mentioned, Remember the Time, Jam, Who Is It, Give in to Me, Will You Be There, In The Closet and so on are enough for me to say Dangerous is better than all his previous albums.

HIStory, I like because it is Michael Jackson. This is him pooring his heart out and telling us he really feels about certain things. And there is no real filler songs IMO. You Are Not Alone and Come Together seem not to really fit with the rest of the album. Unless you take Come Together as a statement about owning the Beatle's catalogue. But they aren't bad tracks none the less. This is Michael's opus IMO. And you have to be a fan, with a lot of admiration for the man, not just the music, to appreciate this album.

And then Invincible, yeh whatever. Way to break your winning streak Michael. Actually, I don't mind about half of the album. But it's not fair to judge this album since it was the result of a record company/recording artist fued. Sony wasn't letting Michael do what he wanted to do and Michael wasn't cooperating with Sony. The end result = Invincible.

But as I said, IMHO, Michael got better with every album right up until Invincible. OTW < Thriller < Bad < Dangerous < HIStory. I'm not sure where Invincible fits into the ranking. If I'm being honest, unfortunately it probably goes right at the bottom of that list.

I totally bloody co-sign with EVERY last word you just said, right down to the exact songs you referenced. That being said, where do you feel Blood On The Dance Floor fits into the equation? You pointed in your post to meaning that HIStory was Michael's finest hour, however, Blood On The Dance Floor came after HIStory but pre-Invincible. Does this mean - you thought it was amazing, remixes included? I'd love to hear your in depth thoughts about BOTDF. New tracks and remixes.
