Smashing Pumpkins Just Finished In Manchester Just got back from the concert. There latest album, Zeitgeist had a few recognisable tracks.
But it was a funky/rocky 'Ava Adore' that was the reason why Smashing Pumpkins are 1 of the best live bands then & now! Billy is well know for begin a good acoustic and his voice didnt fail. A good concert in all, they still tourin the UK. Sam 8) Prince 2010 Good Luck for Future & Tour

I saw the Pumpkins at the o2 last night. Great to finally see them afyter seven years as a fan.
Billy's voice is remarkably strong these days. It rings out clearly above the mix, hits every note. Best of all, he doesn't lapse into snarliness or whining as he frequesntly did years ago. He was in good spirits too, teasing the crowd about our 'British Beer bellies'. (Shame that most of the crowd seemed to be bored). Ava Adore was awesome, as was Porcelina, Everlasting Gaze and their cover of the Bunnymen's 'Lips of Sugar'. Also played a few of my personal faves, such as 'Lily'and Behold the Night Mare. However, I could have done without the long stretches where he and Jeff aimlessly bashed out load of heavy chords and mucked around with fx and feedback. We know that thye are capable of better. It's been too long since you've had your ass kicked properly:

A friend of mine went to the Manchester show and said it was disappointing.
