If I had the money, I'd go, but I live in the States and going to college so it's basically out of the question "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I'm not too much into his new stuff,
but I have much respect for Mr. Weller. It's good to see that UK's legend is still selling records & tours.

Thanks, Pacey. I'm not going, of course. Weller's plain dreary. I saw him at a warm-up show for the Stanley Road tour in Cambridge, and I was falling asleep on my feet. He ought to join Rick n Bruce's tribute band to him. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Trust me, you're missing nothing. Just a bloke with pigeonshit coloured bangs and a spray on tan who used to be really good for about 13 years, being really pretty boring - but still giving it his all. I will be going to one show, that's all I do nowadays. It's just become a habit to go to every tour since 1982, never miss one. I agree with your comments, I've been bored with his live shows since the Wild Wood era 93-94. I think of it like following your favourite team, they may be rubbish but you continue to go year after year hoping things will change for the better Gone are the days when I used to go to as many shows as possible on a tour, last time I did that was TSC in 87.

I just realized that I've NOT liked his music longer than I have liked it... 77-91 = Good (14 Years) 92-08 = Bad (16 Years)
