I apologize if there is already a thread about this... what happened to the search function anyway?

8 Mile is coming out on November 8th. How many of you are going to see this? I will be, and I don't think it will be a disappointment. From what I can tell, it looks like he has done an excellent job at acting, and it really can't be worse than "Glitter".

Is anyone else digging the song "Lose Yourself" from the soundtrack?

A few years ago when I was a news reporter for a local paper, I covered the community in which M&M shacks up...Clinton Township, Michigan. I was in an editorial meeting and one of my editors told me that I needed to be on "Eminem watch" it was then that I decided to change professions...
Speaking of "8 Mile" the only draw for me could be the fact that it was filmed in Michigan/Detroit. I could really care less about the personal life of that blond little squirt. Although, I must say that he is a good rapper. His rhymes are dope.

i think eminem is one of the best rappers out there. i love 'lose yourself' but 'i am' from marshall matters is the song i rock the most.

I dont care..Lose Yourself is a badass song..admit it. 8 Mile is going to be like PR and it has many same elements. Except from the rap perspective. Grainy etc.

Is this guy's 15 minutes of fame up yet? Why doesnt Nelly get more media attention??? He has been selling more records then M&M...could it be because he isnt white? hmmm


eminem is a one trick pony..drog the bitter white boy attitude and he would have nothing...hopefully the will wont build anymore momentum for his career...something tells me it wont though...errr..

8 Mile is excellent. I highly recommend this film to everyone. Very very Purple-rainesque... originally Prince/Paisley Park was written into the script -- but I think it was eventually cut out.

Nelly my wonderful SkletonKee -- cannot act. And he doesn't hold a presence (imho) like M does. Theres something about this goofy white boy that is compelling.

In real life he's smart, soft spoken and shy. 2 sides i guess, and there both friends! :p



I give 8MILE 5 stars. Cant wait to see it again!

After this --- his bitter rhymes have got to evolve. That I agree with!

This looks like Purple Rain for this generation. I looks good and I will definetly go see it when it comes out. And I agree with those dogging Nelly. He's annoying as hell.

Eminem is talented,no doubt,but I just get so sick of his constant whining.We all know he had a lousy childhood,but MOVE ON ALREADY,DAMN!! Get some therapy and forget the past.

Nelly's songs may be lightweight compared to the grittier stuff that Eminem does,but I'd take "Hot In Herre" and "Dilemna" over the angry, mean-spirited songs that Eminem keeps doing.

I must admit I like some of his rhymes. I respect Eminem because even though he is whining at least he raps about his life. Rap music nowadays is all about $$$, bitches and hoes...

I didn't like the way Eminem behaved himself at the VMA's he made an ass out of himself...

I'll wait for it to be released on video. The advance buzz is that its a pretty good movie. People are mentioning possible Oscar nominations. I don't like Eminem enough to see it in a theater, but I'll rent it later..

ah the eminem bashing...hehheh...yeh i'll go see it...i still think he's great...unpopular tho that opinion may around here...
