I can't remember it.
It may have been because of all the drugs I did back then.

Or maybe it's because of all the drugs that I'm doing now.

I dunno, really.

Yeah i liked a few things from LIVE 8 but they cut alot out of the Dvd, and MTV really got BASHED for its coverage, mainly because they were talking through all of the acts, MTV got bombarded by emails and complaints, and a week or so later VH1 aired about 5 hours nonstop coverage to make amends, but they really ruined it with the ocverage. There were some good performances, but most got cut, a-Ha played in Germany and kicked ass, but had to cut their set because their tech and sound was off, so they were cut to 3 songs instead of 4 and the dvd release cut them all off, the only way to get their performances is on the LIVE 8 berlin dvd, but that only has one song.

Even looking back at LIVE AID, not only is the england show better, but even the charity single for England was light years better, "Do they know its Christmas" is a billion times better than "We are the world" which i cant even listen to anymore.

On the Live Aid DVD set, are the shows seperated or are the performances mixed together? And what was cut out? I heard that the Elton/George performance of "Don't Let The Sun Go Down on Me" wasn't included sad

And I agree about the songs. I love the performance of Do They Know It's Christmas whereas the rendition of We Are The World was terrible. No Cyndi, No Stevie, No Diana, No Michael....and just so damn unorganized mad

The Live 8 coverage.....don't get me started. MTV was cutting to the US then UK, then South Africa, then Japan for like 15 seconds, What in the hell where they doing?! I'm hesitant to get the Live 8 set because I wasn't interested in the US show but would've rather watched the UK and Japan concerts

They are in the exact running order the way they were that day, so once the philly show started it goes back and forth, however on the menu you can just play a certain venue if you want. And on disc 4 there are a few added extras, like Inxs from Australia and the Mick and Bowie video for Dancing in the street, Elton and George are on their doing "dont let the sun go down on me" during eltons set.

"We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Not a big fan, but Judas preist did good on this Fleetwood macs classic

Sorry, but Duran Duran were not good. I blame Simon Lebon, his voice seemed flat most of the time

Daryl Hall and John oats set was good, and who doesn't love "maneater" LOL.

Joan Baez proved how dumb she was saying "this is your woodstock" LOL. Its a benefit concert for Africa, not some drug fuelled love in for hippies.

Cool picture. WTF didn't Lional Ritchie perform? He comes out only for the finale (which is rubbish), and am surprised Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross couldn't be bothered either? Why did alot of black artists boycott live aid? Woulda thought they'd be behind it more then white rock stars being they are black and all?
