Gary Glitter was great. There should be a Noncesters Of Rock concert featuring him, Pete Townsend, Michael Jackson and R. Kelly

what was Lennon's quote to Bowie? something like: "When you get down to it, it's only rock and roll in a dress."

Can't remember it exactly.

Lennon was the Keith Richards of pop: both were talented, both were bigmouths...

I've done several threads on here in the past regarding Glam. Glam, the music, glam artists and bands, etc. I've loved Glam Rock all my life, actually. It's been very influential on my own music. Just ask MinnieG. There were so many other great glam acts besides Bolan and Bowie.

I love Glam! It was a long, weird road for this western Canadian girl to go down to fall in love, but there we have it. Thank God for the internet. I've always thought of Glam as Punk, Metal, and New Wave's bitchy, unpopular older sister.
