As far as 70's nostalgia, I like "Get Down Tonight" & "That's the Way I Like It", but I never took them seriously as a band or whatever. I didn't even know they kept making music into the 80's eek arrow
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Is it because their songs were basically just party jams with no real messages? lol

In 1980,they apparently got scared of the whole "disco sucks" movement,so they came out with a rock song called "Let's Go Rock N'Roll".It was terrible disbelief A few years later,KC came out with a solo single called "Give It Up" but I didn't like that song, either.

Yep,it should be :great pop/funk group ! lol

Loved That's the way I like it when I was a kid,
I didn't even know how they looked like.
Later I bought a cd single (those small ones, remember?)
and years later a best of.They were part of my
childhood soundtrack (just like Stevie and EWF among others).
But I knew somehow that Kc wasn't on the same
level as Stevie or EWF .And when I saw a picture of the band..well,
I thought they would have looked cooler and I thought
they were a black band...really confused
Still,great memories and great songs.
