I have not heard this song in a long time...

It brings back memories of my childhood.

I remember hearing this song on am radio all day. It was also the year i discover Zeppelin.

In the 70s,there were so many cool pop singles on the radio.1974 was a particularly good year.I have this song on a compilation that also includes these songs from the same year...

Here is a bit of trivia on the Billy Swan song. If you listen closely toward the end, you might hear some giggling and laughter. The reason, his dog had gotten loose in the studio and started jumping up on Billy. The laughter that you hear is his band members and others applauding him for getting through the song...

I have been on a 70s kick lately and this one is on my playlist. Really cheese, totally 70s, but fun as hell. One funny side note about this song...in the beginning they sing "Daddy was a cop on the EAST side of Chicago..." HELLO??? There IS no East Side of Chicago!! That would be Lake Michigan!

That song as well as Steely Dan's, "Do It Again". To this day, everytime I hear that song I get chills. It has this middle eastern feel to it.
