What's the most you've spent to see a musician?

Having just spent 170 pounds on tickets this morning to see the Blue Nile, it made me wonder..what's the most you've ever spent on going to a concert?

For me it'd probably seeing a lady called Happy Rhodes just a few months back.

I flew to Boston from the UK, arrived in the morning and attended the concert that evening, then flew back the following morning, cost me about five hundred pounds.

Everyone said I was crazy.

$200 to see the Pixies first show in 10 years in a little club in Mpls. Tickets were only about $20 but they sold out in 5 minutes and I had to find someone to sell me a way in.

I don't even know. I have seen many concerts abroad, so I have spend loads of money for seeing my favourite artists. But I do know that Prince is on the first 3 or so places for money I spent on concerts that got cancelled mad.

£40 to see Gary Numan
£180 to see Nine Inch Nails (although it was reading festival and there were other bands I wanted to see; but I *had* to get a ticket when I saw NIN there)

I've always been able to find deals when there was a show I really wanted to see...but I left it up to my best friend to get us tickets for the Van Halen show last weekend...they were $140...the people nest to me only paid $74...I love Van Halen but $140 was a lil' too high for where our seats were...

Not counting the many Prince shows I've gone to and how much money has gone into that nutter's pockets, I think I spent about $160 to see the Cream reunion in London at the Royal Albert Hall. hmmm

It was totally worth it though. woot! love

150 or so each for the Purple shrimp, it was a great show though.

I have my own little rating system in my head to determine how much is too much. Erin and I are going to see The Roots for $36 each and George Thorogood and the Destroyers for $50 each. That includes Ticketmasters outrageous charges. Both WELL worth it IMO.

I paid $150 each to see Prince and Janet Jackson at Madison Square Garden (face value). I also paid $150 to see Tori Amos at Hammerstein Ballroom, but that was an inflated ebay price after the show sold out in -30 seconds.

about € 600 for two people for that little man with his guitar ... show + aftershow + a weekend in London ... worth it.

I would say it was to see Tamar, when Prince was playing guitar. The ticket was only $20 - $30, but I had to stand in line five hours before they started playing. They didn't finish until 2:00 AM, and I didn't get to bed until 3:30 AM. Then, I had a 9:00 kiddie basketball game to coach.

Put it all together, and this old man paid a high price, indeed!

For a ticket alone, $165 or so (whatever P's last show in SF cost)... but if you factor in flying out & all that shit it's probably at least $800: flight to Minni, hotel, rental car, 2 aftershows @ PP. Totally worth it bananadance

£130 for the final night of the 21 nights 02 tour plus another £20 to park! Steep considering I 'only' paid £120 to see him earlier on the tour, and that was for ticket plus 4 star hotel.
