It might be Michael Jackson featuring the reunited New Kids On The Block.

Points about Janet:

1. Blake McGrath, one of Janet's dancers, said several weeks ago that they were busy rehearsing for the Grammys. Janet's rep later denied this.

2. At Janet's NYC listening party, Janet said that she left "the kids" in rehearsals to attend the party.

3. Janet flew back to LA the next day and last night appeared in an LA club where she played 4 of her new songs and chatted with Perez Hilton.

Wow. I might actually watch this year's Grammy Awards. The list of performers and presenters look good!

I think it will be Janet who will the surprise opening performer. What VoicesCarry posted seems to suggest this.

So, I guess this means that we have to watch her lip-sync through another performance. I'd prefer a live performance by just about anyone. Prince would be nice smile

Of course it could also be Michael, but there are several things which make me doubt it (although I would love to see that, too). First of all, the tribute has been planned for a long time, and MJ refused to actually perform on stage, although I think he may make an appearance. Second, all of the performance rumours about him from recent years have been completley fan-generated and unfounded. When did he last perform on a major awards show - 2001?

Thats a pretty bad lineup, i think the presenters and performers should pretty much switch their duties. Why do i have a feeling that Timberlake is opening this nightmare show.

I believe Jimmy Jam is also president of the Grammy board, which can't hurt. lol

Theres absolutely no representation of ROCK in their at all. Wheres any of the nominees in Rock categories this year? Springsteen,Mellencamp, Lucinda Williams, Ryan Adams, etc.... Its better than the last two years, but thats not saying much.

it's britney meets ozzy ozbourne

just kidding I like britney. I hope it is janet too and the family comes out of nowhere and throwdown. I can't believe the 50th grammies isn't showing more ledgendary acts. I saw the commercial and it seems that they flashed a number of great legends.

Freaking Led Zeppelin opening would blow the place off the freaking planet, they like opening this show with reunions as we know from years with the Police and Simon and Garfunkel.

This also shows how much power and pull that Matt Knowles has with the grammys and in music. Solange Knowles presenting at the grammies? the girl shouldnt even be allowed to watch them on tv.

The latest is that Michael Jackson might be appearing after all -

http://www.foxnews.com/st...07,00.html

Jacko's Surprise Grammy Appearance

Is it true? Well, my sources say that Michael Jackson may actually be performing at the Grammy Awards this Sunday.

A lot could change between now and Sunday night, but the scenario that’s been described for me goes something like this: Justin Timberlake starts the show singing along with a tape of Frank Sinatra. The next act up is Jackson, performing one of his hits from "Thriller," possibly even re-creating the dance number for "Billie Jean" he made famous at the Motown 25th anniversary show in 1983.

Will it happen? Who knows. Jackson, my sources insist, has been rehearsing at a Burbank studio and keeping away from the Staples Center, where the Grammy show takes place.

Of course, if it does happen, Jackson would get a huge boost for the special 25th anniversary edition of "Thriller" that Sony releases on Tuesday. And if it doesn’t work out, well, then … as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Michael, the ball’s in your court. And believe it or not, we’re rooting for you.

That's not true!

Solange Knowles is a very well respected artist who completely became an international icon on her own merit!

Im telling you if that happens FRANK is gonna rise from the grave and put out a contract on JT, or one of franks relatives will. The Grammys already has had issue with Frank, of course the year they cut off his acceptance speech, NOT COOL, i know he was rambling, but hes Frank Sinatra, not some one note wonder.
