Roger: Michael MIGHT STILL DO A GRAMMY PERFORMANCE!

I know how all of you feel about Roger, and I'm right there with you. That being said, this sounds too good to not share. Oh, if only it is true. Here you go:

Jackson's Surprise Grammy Appearance

Is it true? Well, my sources say that Michael Jackson may actually be performing at the Grammy Awards this Sunday.

A lot could change between now and Sunday night, but the scenario that’s been described for me goes something like this: Justin Timberlake starts the show singing along with a tape of Frank Sinatra. The next act up is Jackson, performing one of his hits from "Thriller," possibly even re-creating the dance number for "Billie Jean" he made famous at the Motown 25th anniversary show in 1983.

Will it happen? Who knows. Jackson, my sources insist, has been rehearsing at a Burbank studio and keeping away from the Staples Center, where the Grammy show takes place.

Of course, if it does happen, Jackson would get a huge boost for the special 25th anniversary edition of "Thriller" that Sony releases on Tuesday. And if it doesn’t work out, well, then … as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Michael, the ball’s in your court. And believe it or not, we’re rooting for you.

Couldnt they get a GOOD SINGER to sing along with a tape of Frank Sinatra. If Frank were alive he'd have a contract put out on Justin, well maybe he can still have that done from the grave.

Not another "Billie Jean" lip-sync performance. rolleyes

How about PYT for a change? It probably gets more airplay now than BJ...especially thanks to Kanye.

I didn't wanna say anything, but it might have left a bad taste in people's mouths, giving the child abuse charges from 2005.

Stick with "Billie Jean" just REALLY sing it.

yeah,P.Y.T. wouldn't be the best choice lol

He should surprise people by doing an acoustic version of "Human Nature".No dancers,no props,no fireworks.....just him and a band.

I'm excited for "Billie Jean." If he does it, which odds are that would be the one, it would make the crowd go wild. It would totally remind people why Michael is a legend. Not to mention, it would probably up the interest in Thriller 25. biggrin

Seeing as not even Akon's 2008 remix of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin" ain't doin' nothing on the iTunes charts anymore. sad

This is the first time I wish Roger was right.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Michael Jackson Won't Perform at Grammy Awards
Posted by ExtraTV Staff on February 8, 2008 11:19 AM

Sorry, Jackson fans. The King of Pop won't be making a special appearance at the Grammys.

"Extra" has learned that reports of a special performance Sunday night are false. The show's Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich has put an end to speculation, dismissing rumors that he's taking the stage.

That's the best decision... if he doesn't bother to perform, then he also shouldn't show up!

Who is TMZ's source saying he won't even attend? That is what I wanna know.
Cus if all they say is a source, some bum off the street could be "the source."
However, Roger never reveals his sources either.

So you mean to tell me you believe Fried Chicken Legs over TMZ? I know they "evil" but usually TMZ get their shit right most of the time, lol.

Given the scale of the production that goes into putting on the Grammy awards, wouldn't it be highly unorthodox to have the rehearsals for one of its performances to be handled in another venue?

It wouldn't facilitate the kind of cohesion that's needed for a production of that level.

True that...UNLESS he is rehearsing for his own THRILLER 25 TV SPECIAL like the other article spoke of, in which he will perform "Billie Jean" on. Therefore both, Roger and TMZ would be right..sort of.
