New Rhianna Album In November, Her 4th album since her 2005 debut.

Pop Sensation, Rihanna is currently in the studio working on her 4th studio album.Released off Def Jam Records in November 2008. Rihanna hopes to work with The Dream & Tricky Stewart once again (they produced her mega smash hit, Umbrella, in 2007). Also Stargate, The Neptunes, Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Will I Am, and a handful of new producers.Meanwhile her latest single "Don't Stop The Music" is currently in Billboard's Top 10 Charts at Number 5, and she also plans to release a 5th single with "Breakin Dishes" in the spring. Rihanna turns 20 this month.

I'll be impressed when she has input on her records. Writing, vocal arranging, production etc...Right now she doesnt have it, so doing an album a year is not impressive when your not doing it. Plenty of people are doing it with being involved themselves, and plenty of mainstreamers did it long ago and actually did the albums themselves.

Too much too soon. She needs to space it out about. 4th album since 2005? She's getting to be more productive than Prince. If only she kept up with not just the quantity but quality of Prince's output.

Yeah but Prince was doing those albums himself also, writing, playing, producing and arranging. Rihanna has ZERO input on her records so honestly, with that kind of involvement she could do one every week. Everything is supplied to her.

I imagine as time goes on, she will demand more involvement. For some reason, I respect her more than Beyonce. Maybe it is because I always thought Beyonce was over-rated, but frankly, I think it is just, she is over-rated and OVER-EXPOSED. Even with Rhianna having this many albums and the chart spots under her belt, she isn't over-exposed, which is for the better.

In her defense she needs to watch her finances, because despite her few hits and album sales which have hovered around a million in the states and about 8 worldwide, she has toured also alot, BUT on this years money earning women in Music she is not listed in the Top 20, and Number 20 was Norah Jones at 5.5 million. Meaning that Rihanna is probably in a shitty deal with def jam, which she is nothing more than a hired hand, which is why i say, write tracks, do something because you dont get paid by just showing up and singing, singers dont get royalities from their songs on the radio, the writers do.

Hey its refreshing to have one album a year. There was a time when this was considered the norm and it is at the end of the year so a good 18 months since the last one. Now bands don't even go long enough to build up a catalog of music. Are there new bands that are around today where you think there could be ten albums worth of material? Hardly any.

i don't either though it wold be cool if she was involved in production, etc. i think this chick is seriously trying to be the new pop princess. i wonder what direction she'll go in this time since i know she doesn't like to be considered r&b. if she did a full on new wave album i'd definitely pick it up!

I'll bet will.i.am is saving his best tracks for rihanna and will screw mj over, the way rodney jerkface did. I love rodney jerkins work, but something wasn't right with the invincible songs, even though i do like them.

What direction she'll go? she actually isnt the one going, she is being steered towards whatever direction producers that take over feel is the "in" thing at the moment. My thing is that if you dont have some form of input into your projects than they really could get anyone to sing them, in that case its borrowed time she is on, which im sure at some point she will realize for her sake and try to step out to try something on her own with her own ideas.

I use to worry about that happening also, but I no longer do. Did you see the interview he did about Thriller and working with Michael? He called that an honor either like beyond a Grammy or compared to a Grammy, because for him, it meant that much. My respect for him went up like 100000 degrees after he said that.

I have faith, if him and Mike do work together on new stuff, it will make Invincible and perhaps even Dangerous look stale. I have total faith in Will, that he would work his ass off to please MJ. And if MJ picked Will, which he apparently did, there is a reason for it.

Michael has good taste in producers. He picked Q. (Even though Q suggested it, Mike made the call. Michael picked Riley - no denying Dangerous is amazing. Michael picked Jimmy Jam, and Dallas and R. Kelly for HIStory - great stuff.) As for Invincible, it was reported Rodney chased after Michael to work together and Michael finally gave in and allowed it.

I trust Michael's taste in producers, I just hope someone doesn't sway him like Rodney did.

Actually im finding Will I am to be very stale at this point, either the well is dry and he needs some time off, or he's holding for a new BEP cd, but hes been doing the same stuff constantly lately. He seems to be getting how pharrell got a few years back, overused.

I agree nod

I mean I'm not expecting her to be Prince or Meshell, but just singing on an album is really not all that hard these days...especially since your vocals can be easily manipulated via production. I know alot of legends were 'just singers', but atleast they could SANG!

These days for an artist like Rihanna, or Britney Spears, or Cassie to pop out a bunch of albums each year is no trouble at all.

I enjoy the production but really the artists are all interchangable
If you will, so will I

Some people call that caterwauling she does singing. I've wondered if people would like her as much if they couldn't see her. I think she's coasting off her looks and producers' tracks...and the marketing machine, of course.

Yeah, it surprised me too but apparently there are tons of teens and post-teens that think she's the hottest thing going right now.
I don't mind big foreheads if they're on women that look like Tyra and Sade but she reminds me of the drawings of the area 51 aliens.
