Does Soulja Boy Tell Em Rap in English?

I swear I do not understand a word he says. What language is is that? lol I recently started teaching hip hop to kids and I may buy his cd for my classes. I am really scared though for 2 reasons. 1 because i'll be exposesd to his "music" and 2 that I might end up enjoying it. eek Do any of you have his cd??

i know it sounds like mumbo jumbo but that first single of his is pretty catchy. see look at me, i'm already defending him. that is so not a good look.

Well....I would say u listen to the album first..then make your judgement. However he is a passing fad and he will be done in a couple of months imo.

It sounds like mumbo-jumbo becasue of the real meaning of the song that's being altered..

Let's just say the original lyrics:

"Soulja Boy up in dis ho
Watch me crank it, watch me roll
Watch me crank that Soulja Boy
And Superman dat ho..."

...doesn't mean dancing. According to observers, the song actually means ejaculating on someone's back making it stick like a cape...

Not saying that's that's entirely true but I'm just saying... lurking
