This is really a fun song!
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Come on Dan, you know when you hear this at a wedding, you're the first to pry yourself away from the open bar and make a mad dash for the portable parquet dance floor. rolleyes

Wedding? Attending weddings requires having friends and, well, I have none. Last wedding I went to was 1997. falloff

I thought it was so stupid when it came out, yet catchy. Bollywood made their own version a few years after it was a hit.

Yes! They are!

Even though it's still kinda corny, back then I liked "Wish you were here" though.... haven't heard it in years though!

As far as Stockholm bands go, Europe is my band! Saw them last week in Stockholm! They did a unplugged gig... It was great! They played "Wish you were here"! They did the song from Pink Floyd though!

Europe is one the suckiest bands ever, with one of the suckiest 'hits' ever. Those cheesy synths just fucking kill me.

You know... there was a Europe before "The final countdown" and there was a Europe after "The Final Countdown".... that song is not that representative of their overall sound... check out "Wings of tomorrow" or their latest 2 albums!

Before:

Wings of tomorrow

Scream of anger

Stormwind

Seven doors hotel

After:

Ready or not

Let the good times rock

Wake up call

Love is not the enemy

Forever travelling

And in all it's glory

The final countdown
Okay, I guess I turned it now into a Europe Showcase thread! razz
Sorry, couldn't restrain myself!

Ok well, they still suck balls, even though they don't sound exactly like they did on 'Final Countdown' (.. thank God for that lol)
