You are definitely delusional my friend. Football is america's sport. You go
to any sports bar in the states on saturday during college football season, it's a like a religion especially in the southern states. In the southeastern conference, the university of tennessee consistently put 100,000 plus asses in seats which is far more than tom petty and his fartbreaker club can do own their own and far better than any sorry ass hockey game which is canada's sport.
That bullshit don't even draw higher ratings than WWF wrestling. The only time that shit drew ratings this year is when they played outdoors in a football stadium outdoors in buffalo in the snow. Trust me the actual game is far more important to the fans than some old has been farts putting on a lame halftime
show. Sorry dude but i am gonna defend america's sport to the bitter end.
mad

Then that'd make you one sorry loser. I'm sorry, but sports fan or no, it's just a game. Personally I think investing that much energy and emotion into a bunch of grown men who make millions for tossing a ball around or hitting bits of plastic with sticks is a waste of time.

Delusional? I think not. I honestly don't know anyone who foams at the mouth over any sports, football or otherwise. Even those that do play on some kind of team take it for what it is -a pleasant diversion. This isn't life or death, kid. It's playtime.

And that's Dudette, thank you. wink

The word loser is not in my vocabulary. Obviously it's in yours.

All of those look boring as hell except for Prince. Some of the ones that look decent are ruined by the presence of current artists on the stage with them. Oh well, boring shows for a boring event.

You ain't lying. The black college down here is Jackson State. During football season, a black concert, gospel stage play, or any other event will not come to Jackson on the same weekend when Jackson State has a home game because these clowns down here would go to the football game instead. I always said, if Michael Jackson or Prince were to have a concert in Jackson on the weekend of a Jackson State football game, the only people at the concert would be their white fans because all the black folks would be at the football game.

It's the same thing with white people too, except their thing is Ole Miss and Mississippi State. They will get into physical fights arguing over which team is better.

Yeah same thing goes with the state of Alabama.
Black folks would be at the Alabama A&M game.
White folks at Alabama or Auburn.
However if i was in the state of alabama or missisippi, i would
take the prince or Mj concert over those offerings. lol
I'm more of an NFL head.

That it is. It comes in handy for people who can't seem to remember that football is just a game. I'm not the one here who said they'd "defend America's sport to the bitter end." falloff

Yeah, but even though those of us who regulary catch the Super Bowl, view the halftime show in that regard.
I always watch the Super-Bowl. And for our household, halftime usually is breaktime, when everyone gets up to go to the bathroom, reload on snacks, talk 'bout the game so far, etc.. In other words, halftime is the time to do anything else except watch the show. Because they usually are boring ( & most of the time, over-the top). And I think that is the way a large portion of the viewing population regards it ( & if it doesn't, the halftime has, at least, developed that reputation). Its been like that for many years.
The only year I actually sat thru it ( & enjoyed it) was last year's Prince performance.
