I'm still digesting Popular so i'll reserve judgement yet on that album. His first album for me was so refreshing, which is strange for an album that is hardly original. It just felt so much like how albums used to be before all the shitty production and fake drums dominated. He deserves recognition i think. | |

Van was an ass for a minute..and Prince has been one off and on for over a decade...The person that said something about "people rushing to post a negative comment on this thread" Needs to lighten up a little and stop giving so much of a shit about "artists/other orgers" that dont give a shit about you !

Van Hunt's music is trash, and his attitude and post in that other recent thread is even worse.
The creator of this thread (Dance) proves that his music must be shit by saying that Van Hunt's sideburns is what he/she loves most about him -- LOL! That is saying alot right there! | |

I like van hunt's music. Is his music the best i've heard since the late
80's? No but it is a hell of a lot better than most of this garbage coming out now. I also liked the songs i've heard from popular and i am actually disappointed that it got shelved by Blue Note. As far as his rant goes, i don't have the time or energy to get in a debate about what his thoughts were. I don't take offense to what he said. I just enjoy the music. Don't laugh at my funk
