Graham Central Station

I want to get into some GCS, what do you guys recommend for a newbie. Come on Funkenstein, I know you got something for me. Which album should I buy first, or are there any compilations that sum it all up and do them justice???

As your first GCS album, I recommend

Aint No Bout-A-Doubt It (monster album, includes 'The Jam')

cool

Then get, Release Yourself, Graham Central Station, Mirror & My Radio Sure Sounds Good To Me

After you got all those essential albums, you might want to consider getting Now Do You Wanta Dance,Star Walk and GCS 2000.

NOTE: Some people might disagree with me on Now Do You Wanta Dance. It has a couple of killer tracks but overall it's pretty weak, imo.

It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

'Ain't No Bout A Doubt It', 'Release Yourself' and the first self-titled 'GCS' album are Funk classic essentials.

Also there is a very NICE, remastered Anthology.

I recently bought all these albums and was pretty much gobsmacked by how good they were. Release Yourself and My Radio are my favs. The others are good, but not as consistent as these ones IMO.

You are talking about 'GCS2000', not 'Graham Central Station'.
'GCS2000' is mediocre at best, 'Graham Central Station' is the bomb cool

As you may (or may not lol) know, I'm currently serving as a civil service man (it's either this or the army, yup, compulsory shit confused ). It lasts for 12 months, and includes one month of 'training' at Lapinjärvi (which is about 90 kilometers from where I live). I just got back home on Friday and I start work today, which is the second part of the civil service program. Basically, I work for free (well, I do get some money, but very very little) for 11 months... thumbs up! lol
Well, at least the place I'm gonna work at is interesting, Sibelius Akatemia, a music University cool
AND my walk to work takes like two minutes lol
