Some interesting facts about them:

Their fresh approach put the System in high demand as producers, songwriters, and musicians.

They can be heard on Chaka Khan's cover of Prince's 'I Feel for You' and Mtume's 'Juicy Fruit' (both million-sellers). This I didn't know.

The record was later used by the Notorious B. I. G. for his gold record 'Juicy.'

The list continues with Phil Collins' 'Sussudio,' Angela Bofill's 'Can't Slow Down,' Pauli Carmen's 'Dial My Number,' Ashford and Simpson, and Jeff Lorber's 'Step by Step.'

They contributed to the movie soundtracks for two Eddie Murphy blockbusters, 'Beverly Hills Cop' and 'Coming to America' (the title track went Top Ten pop).

You Are In My System - I can't believe this song is 26 yrs. old!!! omg

pray God bless everyone. NO exceptions. pray

I really appreciate The System.

Mic Murphy was an underrated lyricist as well as an under appreciated vocalist. Dude could really hollar! ...I admit he often strayed into cornyness (my word) but when he took his time and did it right - he came up with some brilliant SOUL.

Please look further into the System with these approved cuts...

Lollipops & Everything
Promises Can Break
This is For You
I Can't Take Losing You
It's Passion
Midnight Special
I Just Want to Make You Feel Good
Have Mercy
We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams.

It's a good song. Tends to pop up with its own thread every few months.

David Frank of The System wrote/produced two pop songs (with Steve Kipner and Pam Sheyne) from the last several years that I really like:

Genie in a Bottle - Christina Aguilera

He Loves U Not - Dream

I remember their song in my system and thought it reminded me of jermaine jackson's let get serious lol

I didn't know he wrote genie in a bottle, he must be hella rich off that song alone! I was surprised the other day when I found out that bobby brown was a part of engineering britney's oops album.
