Stevie and Sly predated what Roger Troutman and Peter Frampton (and the guy from Rufus) would do in the coming years.

I love Stevie on the talkbox! ufo

Sly did it on Sex Machine & Don't Call Me Nigger, Whitey from the Stand album.

But for some reason, Frampton gets credit for being the first hmmm

You know how it is. evillol I know some boob on YouTube is going "What? He ripped off Peter Frampton" without realizing Stevie did it in 1972, Peter did it in 1976! falloff

Speaking of, his Geico commercial was funny.

"DO U FEEL LIKE I DO-OOOOO-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA..." lol cool

I'm thinking Stevie...THEN Bowie...THEN Clinton... least that's what I'm thinking.

Because the time "Maybe Your Baby" was recorded, David was in the final throes of his "Hunky Dory" years and was inching into his Ziggy Stardust phase and I don't think he started doing the Camille-ish effect until 1975's "Diamond Dogs". Of course Sly's came around '73. George took it to another level though after "Make My Funk the P-Funk (I Want My Funk Uncut)".

"Oh me, I'm the Lollypop Man, alias, the long-haired sucka, and my motto is... MAKE MY FUNK THE P-FUNK!" ufo

At this point in history, we have a choice to make
To either, walk the path of love, or be crippled by our hate
