In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s multi-platinum, multi-award winning album Thriller, Legacy Recordings is proud to present Thrillercast: A groundbreaking podcast event dedicated to the 25th anniversary celebration of the world's biggest selling album of all time, "Thriller".

The 40-episode podcast will run throughout 2008 and feature icons of music and screen, including hip-hop legends KRS-ONE, DMC, current superstars Akon, Nick Cannon, Chris Brown, will.i.am, Quincy Jones, Imogen Heap, choreographers Shane Sparks and Mia Michaels, turntablist DJ Spooky as well as many more special guests. Each guest sat down with us to discuss their experiences with Thriller, the various singles and videos, and its influence on them, both personally and professionally. Their stories are each unique and profound and singular in their message: Thriller was a game-changer across the board.

The free podcasts will start February 1 with "Episode 0", a teaser of what's to come, with a new episode available (roughly) each week starting on February 12.

Subscribe to the series via iTunes or Zune, through the RSS Feed, http://feeds.feedburner.c...rillercast , the widget above, or listen directly from the Official Michael Jackson Web Site, www.michaeljackson.com/podcast

This historic series is being put together by Legacy Recordings and Joseph Vella of Vella Interactive, who has previously done podcasts about John Coltrane, Elvis Costello, The Beach Boys, and more.

We hope that you will find this series as exciting as we do, and want to share it with all your friends. If you need any further information, please let me know.

I'm SO excited. This is better than the Invincible era, simply because I'm sure the few new stuff "Got The Hots" and "For All Time" aren't letdowns. (Even if I had heard them before.)

On a related note, I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really hope that the rumored "leaked track-listing" is legit. I've wanted HIStory II for like more than 10 years now.

Its fiction dude ..lol.....even tho the tracklist is real unreleased songs by MJ , A fan put some of unreleased songs titles together to make a decent believable tracklist.

Well judging by the songwriter credits of that rumoured tracklist, the only resemblance to HIStory will be the album title and album title only. Remember HIStory was mostly written by MJ alone

Yeah, but it might mark a return to form, for Michael's songs being personal and with some edge.

They sure are. However, to Sony's credit, there are things like MySpace, Podcasts, Facebook, and all sorts of other ways to promote stuff, that weren't around back in 2001. Plus, Thriller 25 will be TEN times better than Invincible. Invincible was good, Thriller was better. The difference....EVERYTHING.

I might do my part to plug Thriller 25 on the org, and change my avatar.
