Janet's Discipline Interlude Wager

If we have to put up with more interludes from this chick then I want to make a few dollars off of it! pimp

$20: random chat with friend(s)
$50: weather effects
$100: pre- or post-coitus pillow talk
$100: giggling
BONUS
$10: each appearance of profanity anywhere in album

Anybody?

You forgot about heavy use of echo when talking about something profound...

How about pseudo-intellectual psycho babble a'la "Velvet Rope" interludes?

U should also add to the list. "The fact that interludes will kill the album"

"Mariah midtempo single"

comfort

Interludes don't kill an album since you can always delete them at your leisure. Bad songs kill an album.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Sorry but interludes can kill an album, lets talk Prince's nonsense on the Gold Experience, which still was a good album with great songs, but the segues took that album down, of course his COME record which is one of his best, but the poetry readings are a joke, and of course The Rainbow Children album which was probably his best "musicianship" wise was dragged down by preachy segues. Segues kill the flow, because usually the artist connects the songs which these interludes in the mixing process.

As for Mariah, well thats her bag and like Lenny Kravitz shes not going to take a chance anymore.

These are interludes, not necessarily segues. Janet has had interludes that were stand-alone.

Same difference it just messes up first listens to albums. I dont mind opening interludes but throwing them after almost every track is just killing it, your basically forcing the listener/buyer to already get in the habit of skipping things on your record.
