Krayzie, you think my post about "Thriller" was stupid? lol

Nah, I'm just fucking with you, Fury... honestly I don't see the hit potential. hmmm Maybe "Is It Scary" at the least. I don't know about "Morphine" or "Ghosts". "Morphine" would've been too controversial.

Probably three of my favourite MJ tracks, delivered right in the middle of a career stage when I was starting to go off the guy.

Ghosts - Should have been much bigger than it was. I think MJ expected far more. This was his attempt at Thriller part 2.

Is it Scary - This is a hit that should have been, a bit like "If you don't love me". Perfect pop record, but left to rot.

Morphine - For me, one of the top three songs of th 90's. The breakdown in the middle is a melody so sublime it could have spawned a number one ballard in its own right.

The problem is, these excellent tracks should not have formed part of a remix project, but rather the basis for a new album. they would have faired far better.

Annoying sod isn't he? With Ghosts, Blood On The Dance Floor, Superfly Sister, Morphine and Is It Scary already in the bag, the guy was halfway to delivering his best album since thriller.

It really annoys me when I see History in the mix in the bargain bins for £1, as people walk past not realising how good some of the tracks are.

Me too! I ignored it as dance fan cash in clap trap and I didn't end up getting it till about 2000.

Needless to say, when I played it, I was....WTF?

I love the songs a lot, but they sounded like nothing else in 1997, as they were Dangerous rejects. I don't understand fans who thought these songs were ahead of their time when they easily could have come out in the 80's or early 90's and become hits then. But then again, that heavy kind of sound is kind of back now, so they might have fared well today.
