BRITNEY SPEARS TAKEN FROM HOME IN AMBULANCE

This just popped up on a list of AP stories on my email homepage.

http://www.yahoo.com/s/ap...ney_spears

As much of an annoying trainwreck this girl is, it's still sad to see a mother of two babies just fall apart in the way that she has. I always feel badly for the little kids involved neutral

On the other side, I'm starting to wonder how much longer all this erratic behavior can go on...?

She's in hospital again right now, under that 5150 code again. They're gonna treat her for 73 days apparently. Lets hope she doesn't spring herself out AGAIN and no visits from Dr Phil either.

Her parents, boyfriend and friend Allie are all with her.

I'm getting this info from www.x17online.com it's pretty reliable as they are constantly following her 24/7.

Apparently, her psychiatrist made the phonecall to police after visiting Britney tonight...wonder what happened?

At least the babies weren't there this time.

sad

Yeh, keep Dr Phil out of there. He was trying to use the poor woman to get rating on his show. So shameful IMO. Let's hope he doesn't try to pull that shit again. It just made her worse the last time he did it.

What feels so weird to me is how this girl is clearly sick, but instead of someone forcing their hand to get her into productive long term treatment, her situation has become entertainment fodder for people instead, like a sport. Over here, I don't get anywhere near the coverage you get at home about Spears, with the paparazzi and so on. So when I actually click on the links that show them hounding her it's unsettling to me and is kinda shocking, and leaves me with larger questions on many levels.

It's a very surreal feeling...because it's as if we're watching an insane person's mental undoing like a spectacle of some sort with 24 hour coverage, whenever or however we want it...with people practically beying for her blood. Although it's clear that she has some sort of mental disorder that pushes her to seek out attention in dire and inappropriate ways, it's also very bizarre watching throngs of people publically chasing her deeper and deeper into her abyss and possibly to her death, feeding our twisted appetite to witness her fall while ALSO making money off of her doing it... hmmm

It's so strange...this feeling that there are millions of people watching a disturbed person do themselves in via every electronic media possible, that it looks like no one's really trying to stop her, and ultimately she might just succeed...

God bless that child indeed. rose

Its very sad. I feel for her deeply actually. If they can keep her on her meds, hopefully that will help.

Who is Sam Lufti? Something’s not right with the Adnan guy. Why would anybody get involved with her right now?

Very sad and hopefully she will finally get her ass in check. If not, then she'll probably be dead before 2008 is over. Hopefully it'll be the former and not the latter. We'll see.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

what the hell does this have to do with dr. phill? btw: he has already apologized and said he shouldnt have done it, and wont anymore...

this story is about a poor young lady who needs help and we as a culture should let her have some space.

It really is jacked up. If she didnt have mental issues before, imagine what the pressure of being photographed/stalked 24/7 does to ones psche. I knew it was getting outta hand when she was in wal-mart, and there are flashes constanly going off. Or in he Mcdonalds drive though. Or ths time she ran over the photogs foot. Well dammit, shoud he really have been that close? Any insecurities that she has I'm sure have been magnified by all the press that surrounds her. Last night on one of the tabloid shows the headline was "who gets Brittany millions if she's committed to a mental facility?"

Its all pretty foul if you ask me.
A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.

Did you get a chance to see the recent article that said how media coverage of Britney garners about 100 million dollars a year? The idea that we have an entire sub-industry that exists by scavenging off of invading someone's space 24/7...to the point of creating it's own mini-economy...? That makes me feel weird.

I wouldn't say it's a curse, but like money & power it's dangerous. It depends on how you use it.
