Not my favorite of theirs by a long shot, thought it is a classic song. Christian Zombie Vampires

As someone who's loved them for awhile, I've never really understood the appeal of this song. It's fine I guess, but just kinda

I get the same feeling form What Have I done to Deserve this, which is huge for them too. Christian Zombie Vampires

Great song. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

I randomly listened to this song back to back with Boogie Nights by Heatwave a few years ago and noticed that the chord progression to West End Girls is similar to the end of the Heatwave song (and Heatwave also mentions something about "the west end" as they adlib). Coincidental and minimal similarity but it perked my ears up.

OTOH, it's definitely my favorite by them. It just sounds so mysterious. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
