His new track is getting air play on XM's The City. It's called "That Girl Right There". It's another collaboration with Ludachris.

I have not heard that one.....any good?

disbelief I’ve heard it a few times trapped in my car with no CDs/iPod and it’s horrible IMO. Very busy and noisy. I flip away by the time the rap starts. I’m surprised it’s the first single and there doesn’t seem to be much hype around it considering it’s Usher. At first I thought that Diamond Girl song was his.

The only song I like that will probably be on his upcoming album (whenever it is released) is Rumors produced by the Neptunes.

Funny what you say because since Itunes and digital music took over everything, music has never been so bad...

Coming from someone who's got Milli Vanilli as an avatar... lol

Labels have no responsability for the crapness

Poke fun at my avatar all you like but, labels have ALL the responsibility for music being so shitty. The labels are the ones signing these shitty artists and letting them and encouraging them putting out these messes of albums. The labels are the ones paying off radio stations to play the same shitty playlist day in/day out, instead of playing new artists who are actually talented. The labels are the people who prevent the real talent from being relevant on radio, because they want it to be a business. The labels are the people who are suing fans of music for downloading, instead of changing their shitty business models.

YES the labels are to blame. And no jokes about blaming it on the rain.

Again, not at all... lol Everything you say is completly false, and extremly inaccurate... Typical anti major label statements we hear everywhere...

My friend, I've worked for record labels long enough to know that labels have no responsability for the shit people like...

In fact, labels sell what the public wants to buy... always... This is their job... Making money by selling what the public requests...

There's no reason for records labels to sign shitty artists if the public don't like them in the first place... In fact, the public loves the garbage... Because this is what the public wants...

And concerning radio stations, true labels pay off radio stations to have their music played in the first place over indie artists... But radio stations only put on playlist what the public requests... Labels don't control radio stations...

The labels don't prevent the real talent from being relevant on radio... That's the stupidest thing I ever heard...

Labels don't tell radio stations what they play day in/day out ... lol

And again, concerning Itunes and digital music, it has never helped music to get better or talented artists ... Music is getting worse and worse since Itunes and digital music took over the music industry... If I can remember the biggest act outta Myspace is a teenager rapper named Soulja Boy Tell'em...

Oh yeah there's a lot of talented people on my space but it seems like the public decides to support one of the worse of them...

And yes I make fun of you because Milli Vanilli is pretty much the worse thing the music industry has done, so it's kinda ironic from someone who wants to talk about "talented artists"... lol

neutral

I don't think Usher is fug.

He does look like Mayor Ben from Zoobilee Zoo son though and he's got a head shaped like a penis.

Prince, well, he looks kind of horsey, not a bad looking dude, but a tad horsey.

Him and Dave Grohl must be related.

He always waits 3-4 years before releasing albums, unlike most artists around his age. I knew he should wait extra longer after Confessions, because that was Usher mania. That wack movie he did in 2005 was not the way to go. This time though, while Usher was gone we have the likes of Omarion, Chris Brown n'em, so people (well, the youngin's) are kind of 'over' Usher. Which is sad. Because he can actually sing. lol

I do have an unreleased Rob & Fab track, where Rob sings lead. His germen accent is very thick and present. If you want it, I can org-note you.

Me 10.

Yeah! was good, but the album Confessions was only good in that year, with all the hype surrounding it. Take the hype and Yeah! away and you have a seriously mediocre R&B album.

There was only one standout track on there which was Can U Handle It?

It should prove by how quickly he's become irrelevant, the amount of talent he has (or hasn't in this case). It's kinda the same with Eminem falling off the radar completely but at least he had a life changing event (Proof being shot) and I think overexposure and using up his own skills too fast. Usher could have easily capatilised on his dizzying success, but missed his chance by about 2 years now.

I don't think he had much input on his songs either. Look at the song info, he's always second or third credited with writing or not at all.

He doesnt have a classic album just yet..he still has a ways to go. However if he just keeps workin with Pharell I think the best is yet to come. I saw him twice live (he is good enuff to make me go twice), and always did a fantasic job and never lip synced, live bands too.

Yeah, co-sign times ten million, add to those facts 3 things:

1)Radio overdid Usher's shit around that time. "Yeah" was played 100000 times a day. Ick.

2)Usher acted way too cocky.

3)Critics overstated his talent. He wasn't as good as critics made him out to be around that time. Him, not being back on top is might be evidence the public finally caught on. He isn't the NEXT Michael Jackson, like he was hyped as being. If anything, he is a poor man's Bobby Brown. NEEEXTTT.

I do quite like "U Don't Have To Call" from 8701 though.

Interesting.

As for Usher, I think Confessions was his peak.

His voice is boring. His music is boring.

What musical talents does his have? What is he bringing to the table that is new?
