Prince, Bowie and Tricky

They would be called Idiot Savante.

I chose these cuz they're the most creative trio of artists that I think would actually be compatible together.

Prince would bring the funk and the virtuosity
Bowie would bring the songwriting and style
Tricky would bring the edge and killer production techniques

Prince, kraftwerk and a drummachine.

Kate Bush, Michael Jackson and Frank Zappa.

I chose these b'cos they're three of the most inventive and different musicians ever and goodness knows what they would come up with together. Zappa's dead tho' so i can only dream.

Sananda/TTD, Prince and anyoneelse who remains silent.
Prince would stand for pure musicianship (incredible how he plays all these instruments) and energy on stage.
Sananda for his incredible voice (on record and live-the concert of his Vibrator tour i've been to still is the best I've seen in my whole life and I've seen many great concerts) and poetic lyrics.
Both are great songwriters/producers and true artists who explore so many different genres in music as well as fantastic performers on stage.
So a third member is not necessary. What would be helpfull though would be if they'd find somebody who would make their music available to the masses and help them deal with their egos...
As for a name of this duo/group.How about "The artist formerly known as Prince and nowadays known as Prince again and the artist formerly known as Terence Trent D'Arby and now known as Sananda Maitreya" which would be "Tafkapankapaatafkattdakkasm". What a cool name indeed.I'm sure every music journalist will write even better reviews for them just because he loved typing their name so much... .

my three favorite musicians of all time are:
prince, zappa, and miles davis, but i don't think they could work together. zappa and prince would kill each other. so, they would all have to join a band led by duke ellington. the duke would call the shots, that way their controlling natures wouldn't get in the way of the music.

so, duke ellington as band leader, prince on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, frank zappa on lead guitar.

the rhythm section would be george duke on keyboards, charles mingus on bass, and john blackwell on drums with ruth underwood on vibes and assorted percussion.

the horn section, miles davis on trumpet, of course, john coltrane on tenor sax, charlie parker on alto sax, gerry mulligan on baritone sax, and wayne shorter alternating between soprano and tenor sax.
