Yeah she is (March 26). But here's the funny thing she reminds me of my SISTER (April 6) then myself (April 12).

Timmy84 said: I wasn't about to type in what I saw in the reports but apparently, Ms. Ross has been given the unfortunate nickname of Miss Rass after her "performance" at the 11th Annual Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival.
A crowd of 15,000 (or 40,000 depending on the article) were left pissed off that the former Supremes front woman demanded the big TV screens that were shown on the jumbotron for the performers there - including Jill Scott, Anita Baker and J.T. Taylor - to be turned off. To make things worse, only one portion of the audience could even see Diana and this led to a series of hisses that turned into boos after the diva sung some of her Supremes hits. After shouting "no more music" and leaving the stage, the audience members booed her out of there. In the end Billy Ocean had to come out and practically save the festival from being an ultimate ruin. Ms. Ross may have performed for the first - and last - time in Jamaica thanks to this incident. Here's one article about it: http://breakingnews.iol.i...=z446x78zx Damn, Diana. Now, she knows better than that. For tickets THAT expensive she should've broke her neck to give fans their money's worth. Not cool, diva. Not cool.

Their entertainment reporter Jawn Murray described the scene and it wasn't pretty. It was actually the corporate sponsors that were booed too...people paid up to $200 to see her perform in venue the size of a football field without monitors. Unless you were in the 1st few rows, you couldn't see her at ALL: They were maaaaad! You can hear the recap here: http://www.blackamericawe...ssed/index Click on the speaker icon for "Jawn Murray" under the recaps for Tuesday, January 29. That's fucked up what she did. Someone said she's getting too old for this. Well she is too old for this. I love some of her work but she needs to get a grip. It wasn't a Diana Ross concert, it was a festival and she should have shown some respect to everyone involved. Good for her ass for getting booed. I probably would have joined in with them. ReggaeQueen said: Well, I'm a Jamaican and that shit 'Miss Ross' decided to pull was not cool at all! Damn!... people here in Jamaica payed alot of money to come see her especially, as well as those who flew in. She signed a contract, she was paid upfront and at the last minute she decides, "no close up images on the jumbo screens"....what the hell? tell me where the logic in that is?
All I know is, she's lucky that a lot of the people who went to that show was from the upper side of society, so their reactions were a little less than it would've been had some 'not so controlled Jamaicans' been in attendance! Miss Ross really gave us a diss and for no good reason! My question though, would she have done this in the U.S.A.???? when I read your post I read it in a Jamaican accent. You're goin' off arent, you And I believe she would've done this in the States, too. Id be pissed if I spent my hard earned cash and felt slighted too. Its one thing to be known as a little difficult; thats part of the persona. To me her antics are usually funny because she is so dramatic and over-the top. Its all part of the package. But this incident was just bad form. After the initial round of boos, she coulda turned on the monitors, made a joking apology and moved on. The crowd probably. would've eaten that up. As it stands now, she probably had to leave the country wearing a fedora and some Groucho Marx glasses. I bet she wont do that shit again! [Edited 1/31/08 15:10pm] let the tough love begin. I'll start: She should be more polite to people who are running a show featuring A LOT of artists. She should just not act saddiddy when they don't follow whatever she tells them (because apparently she thinks she's really "the boss", lol) She should stop wearing horse hair and showcase her gray hair proudly. It ain't cute anymore, Di-Di. You can take up the mantle.
