Taylor Dayne's "Beautiful" on the radio! I'm listening to Sirius Starlite right now and they are playing it. Starlite is light Top 40 and they rarely play new stuff (not a lot in this genre, frankly) but give surprising new songs a chance. A song that pops up on their every so often is Chubby Checker with a track called "Tear Down the Walls", which I guess was a stand alone single he did on Itunes with several mixes...Chubby tried to do Howard Stern in order to plug the song and Howard played the rock verison, which is pretty good even if the pop verison that Starlite plays isn't all tha great.
Anyway, this is probably good for Dayne. The album seems to be getting a lot of talk and some promotion for an indie release.

Very good to see, i also have heard from a few of the older artists like Styx and Reo speedwagon, they get a big % of the royality from play on the sirius, especially when they sign exclusives with them. Sattelite will play anything, so that doesn't count. Believe me, todays radio is about as commercial as radio has ever been. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Well isnt that the idea? she would never get play on regular radio, mainly because she doesnt have the $$ to buy time and she is considered old.
