I remember reading that Jimmy and Terry werent really feeling working with the Human League(at the time) because Jam and Lewis got to the studio and THe Human League had no material prepared. Jam and Lewis felt like they had to do all of the work.

Unlike many ofthe 80s tunes . this one still sounds good 20+ years later.

the lyrics are bit on the corny side. but, i love this song if it were an instrumental, or with different lyrics. personally, i would compose something about the rain, but then thats sound trite as well.

The song was fine untill that whispering "I was human too" part. That just took it to kitsch.

Man In The Mirror? I see what you mean, but I thought of Tender Love, Escapade and Come Back to Me when I heard it for the first time, love that song though.

All the singles from the album were written by Jam and Lewis. I don't have the album but love all the singles. The follow ups "I Need Your Loving" and "Love Is All That Matters" are both very strong.

That they got to the studio and basically had to start from scratch. You prob. know better than I do about how the writing credits ended up. The only HL album I ever bought was Dare.
