I read something about him the other day, got booed opening for the Chili Peppers or something (and the Chili Peppers defended him). But then I saw that ad and was totally confused at how completely lame he was.
But this is kind of, um, interesting. He's kind of annoying, but there's something sorta brave about it. [Edited 1/26/08 20:57pm]

I like him. I don't know how the whole adrogenous, flamboyant thing is gonna play over in hip hop but maybe he'll be the frontrunner in a new sub genre of hip hop where that'll work.

I don't know, man. He fits better in the artsy rock genre where he can be free to express himself the way he want to WITHOUT trying to rap. I mean, why he's trying to Iggy Pop-ized hip-hop? I don't see any middle ground either this guy is gonna be insanely huge or he's gonna be absolutely nothing mark my words. I really think it can work though, not as hip hop as it is now but as new sub genre because I don't see the hip hop stations rushing to play this guy here in Dallas.

I'm thinking the way it's probably gonna go is like it has went previously when someone tries something completely different, he'll never be hugely popular but he'll inspire someone who'll water what he's doing down enough to be publically accepted and that guy will be insanely huge.

I have seen some of his videos. The guy is obviously off his rockers, then again, those guys always seem to be cool to me. Maybe that's why Mickey was kinda interesting to view. His lyrics are bonkers tho.

Being a bisexual prostitute on drugs is harder than Eminem. I didnt think any1 can rap about this stuff with no thought about whomever may judge him. I really like this dude, and I am gonna buy his album Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I listened to the other tracks, and I don't really like them at all. Beats aren't very good.
"Waiting to Die" is going on my iPod though

Not very, with rhymes like this: "I'm Mickey Avalon, the kosher salami. For $20 you get Chachi, but $40 gets you Fonzie." [Edited 1/28/08 12:25pm]

His first album is more like Eminem's "Infinity" The beats aren't really straight hip hop, I don't know if I'll call it alternative... hey, yeah thats it it's alternative hip hop. I like the music on everyone I listened to personally.
