Hail to Queen! Your Top 15 songs of all time Queen is definitely one of the greatest rock bands of all time. And they're one of my faves of all time. So I salute Freddie, John, Brian, and Roger for all that they brought us. Now! First and foremost my favorite song of all time by Queen (or any other rock band for that matter) is Another One Bites The Dust. This has soul, rock, disco, and pop all rolled up into one. Next, would be We Will Rock You! Who doesn't like this song. It's played all around the world to this day. Finally, my third best would be Somebody To Love. This is an emotional masterpiece by Freddie. He's at his best. Now my list in full:
1. Another Bites The Dust 2. We Will Rock You 3. Somebody To Love 4. We Are The Champions 5. Bohemian Rhapsody 6. Fat Bottomed Girls 7. Crazy Little Thing Called Love 8. Flash 9. Under Pressure 10. Radio Ga Ga 11. Who Wants To Live Forever 12. Killer Queen 13. Play The Game 14. I Want It All 15. Bicycle Race That's mine so what's yours? Peace! Peace and be wild!

I guess I just posted because I wanted to express the opiion that the Fairy Feller's Masterstroke is one of the most genius tracks in the history of pop music. As a composition it's as inventive and original as anything and doesn't go above being accessible to the listener, based on all that I'd say it's one of the greatest songs ever written. The funny thing is it's not even thought of when you think of the other great Mercury compositions, including March of the Black Queen from the same album. It's basically a lil' above of throw away track but the truth is it's one of the best songs ever written. Let me preface that with (I don't feel like starting from the beginning again so just pretend this is a preface lol) it depends on what you're looking for. If lyrics (which are secondary to me, most songs are third rate at best poetry anyway) than no (even though the lyrics are no slouch and actually pretty good considering it's based on a still image i.e. a painting he brings it to life) but musically it's head and shoulders above what most people put out. The verses were definitely musically ahead of their time when you consider Brian May wrote it in the late 60's and it was recorded in 1974. Plus it has probably my favorite guitar orchestration ever as the solo. [Edited 1/27/08 10:44am] [Edited 1/27/08 10:45am]

There are so many to choose from as Queen is one of my all-time favourite bands , but these are the tracks that pop into my mind as I'm writing this:
(in no particular order) Prophet's Song Bohemian Rhapsody Under Pressure '39 White Queen Liar You Take My Breath Away Another One Bites the Dust Innuendo Radio Ga Ga Hammmer To Fall Princes of the Universe We Will Rock You (the fast version they opened their shows with as heard on Live Killers or as seen on the Montreal DVD) Now I'm Here The Show Must Go On Also I must mention that my favourite Queen albums of all time are A Night at the Opera, The Game and Queen II. These are the only Queen albums I can really appreciate from start to finish. In fact I like those albums so much I purchased Gold CD editions of The Game (from Mobile Fidelity) and A Night at the Opera (from DCC)... these editions sound much better IMO than the regular CDs commonly available in music stores, especially when cranked up I wish Queen II (and Prince's entire 80's catalogue, for that matter) were available in that kind of sound quality.

I'll have to think about it, but I know "Killer Queen" is my favorite. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
