highlights from a Swedish newspaper interview (Aftonbladet)....
***The opening words in the song "Voices" are: master and slave.Madonna explains that master and slave refers to your own ego, who's in charge...is it the ego,or are you a slave under your ego? As you can see,"Voices" is indeed the song that Madonna described as a "psychological mind fuck".The song questions who is the master, who is the slave,if you're walking the dog or the dog is walking you. ***Madonna reveals that the title for the song "She's Not Me" came from when she,Justin and Pharrell sat down and threw around some ideas, concepts and phrases.Pharrel came up with the line "She's not me,she doesn't have my name" and Madonna wrote the rest of the song based on that.

Just purchased the new Q magazine and it states that in the next issue there will a special one-off 'Cash For Questions' with Madonna- other celebrities will put questions to her instead of the usual readers sending something in.
They will probably also have a review for the album too! Should be a great issue. "There is no such thing in life as normal..."

Just found out the release date for the new single "4 Minutes": Digitally released on March 26 Physical release on April 21 (I assume they mean the maxi-single?) The video premieres around March 26,as well.MTV and VH-1 are planning something special,I heard.

Currently my job doesn't allow me the time to post or search for info as I did a few weeks ago. Even though I work using a computer, I cannot surf the internet freely because we changed our workplace to a vast open space room...so basicly I get watched alot,

Martinelli said: Iggy & The Stooges to Perform for Madonna at Rock Hall Ceremony
3/3/08, 2:46 pm EST According to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Iggy & The Stooges will perform for Madonna at this year’s induction ceremony. The choice of the Stooges may raise some eyebrows, but isn’t as strange as it seems: both the band and Madonna are Detroit natives, and Iggy Pop opened for Madonna at the Dublin date for her Reinvention Tour in 2004. Other performers scheduled at the induction ceremony, which takes place next Monday, March 10th, at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel: Damien Rice (for Leonard Cohen); James Cotton (for Little Walter); Patti LaBelle (for Gamble & Huff); plus John Mellencamp and the Ventures, both of whom are being inducted. That's gonna be so fuckin' hot. Can't wait to see how that turns out.

Madonna really has lost it. I'm not one of those people who come on here just to bash her. Just like people want to express their excitement I want to express my disappointment. I have truly liked her career up until American Life and keep waiting for her to get back to the kind of great pop she's known for.
Candy Shop is the most pathetic song she has ever recorded, her voice sounds so amateurish. Even someone as musically untalented as myself could write better lyrics then that, she sounds pathetic singing my sugar is raw. Although I did enjoy a few of the tracks off Confessions so I am counting on a few good songs on this album.

Q magazine was treated yesterday to an exclusive preview of Madonna’s upcoming album, Hard Candy. On the basis of the five tracks we heard, it sounds exactly like you’d expect a collaboration between Madonna and such super-producers as Timbaland and The Neptunes to sound: a slick, ultra-modern urban dance concoction. As has become customary for a Madonna album, it will be launched with a terrific lead-off single in the shape of 4 Minutes.
Produced by Timbaland and co-written with Madonna by Justin Timberlake, who also pops up on guest vocals, 4 Minutes rides the same sort of spare, sinuous groove as Timberlake’s SexyBack single. Here, rather than proclaiming to return sexy to the global arena, Timberlake intones "Madonna, Madonna" over a pumping opening beat, before the pair join forces to suggest they have but "Four minutes to save the world". Naturally, the track clocks in at precisely four minutes. Elsewhere, Give It To Me, which features Pharrell Williams, is a typical slice of Madonna dancefloor pop, its sashaying groove given a smart upgrade by The Neptunes production team. Two other Pharrell contributions, opening track Candy Shop – with Madonna rather unsettlingly suggesting to listeners that she has "all sorts of Candy" on offer – and Incredible ("Sex with you is incredible," heaves our Madge) see similar makeover jobs being done on Madonna staples, the latter more strikingly so on initial listens. Patently, no ’Madonna goes urban’ project would be complete without the presence of Kanye West, and the shy, retiring one pops up to deliver a self-aggrandising rap (no, really) on Beat Goes On, a maddeningly insistent track likely to follow 4 Minutes onto future Madonna hits compilations. Hard Candy will be released on 28 April. Q understands that Madonna is likely to undertake a world tour later in the year. "There is no such thing in life as normal..."

Did you know that "Give It To Me" has already been earmarked as the second single? This could change though.I've noticed that, with Madonna albums,a second single is often chosen early on and then changed later.Remember the 'Music' album? Before it was released,Warners chose "What It Feels Like For A Girl" as the second single. When the CD was finally released, they read the reviews and noticed that "Don't Tell Me" was getting alot of positive attention. Thus,it became the second single instead. "Sex with you is incredible" can't wait to hear that one!!

hey guys, let's see some dream setlists Keep in mind that Warners are releasing some kind of Greatest Hits (or box set) compilation in the late fall. That's why I included so many old songs in my setlist....perhaps Madonna will do a tour that combines Greatest Hits along with the new 'Hard Candy' tracks? I wanna see what you guys come up with...

So you guys really prefer Pharrell? That's interesting.I like some of Timbaland's recent work: "Promiscuous" by Nelly Furtado and "My Love" by Justin Timberlake. As a producer,he's definitely in his prime. He's got the hottest beats right now.
Still,I'm interested in hearing all those Pharrell tracks. There has to be a reason why Madonna chose more of his songs.

I think she does her best work with a one-on-one collaborator who plays actual instruments and also produces, but lets her be the boss - I think that's why. With Timbaland, she had JT and Danja up in there - too many cooks in the kitchen for her, 5 songs was all she probably had final say on. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Ive heard two very low quality clips of give it to me, i cant make a judgment but im loving the new direction madonna's going in. it sounds fresh and edgy for a change. Its about time she changed the whole electro/euro dance sound. I hope theres some good ballads in this album too. Its hard 4 me to say whats right when all i wanna do is wrong

I only made an observation that Pharrell usually is the one in charge. I think Madonna tamed Pharrell. Madonna is a leader, not a follower!
