Just saw this from Pitchfork:

"It always seems like those tricked-out "Deluxe Edition" reissues of favorite albums are so meticulously crafted, from the art to the bonus tracks to the people interviewed in the liner notes. But never say "always."
It turns out the "Deluxe Edition" reissue of Beck's sampledelic Odelay that shipped this week came with a lyric booklet full of mistakes. According to a press release, "The first pressing of the recent Odelay: Deluxe Edition was found to have gone out with un-proofed lyrics that were taken from a lyrics website as placeholders for layout purposes. Beck apologizes for this unfortunate oversight and is making arrangements for the corrected lyrics to be available gratis via Beck.com. Subsequent pressings of the Odelay: Deluxe Edition will also include the corrected lyrics."

Can't believe they would go to all that trouble and then grab the lyrics from a website as opposed to having access to the actual artist- strange!

"placeholders" in design make total sense to me... they were planing on getting the lyrics from the actual artist i'm sure!

eek will definitely check this out (to some capacity giggle). love me some beck and this album is definitely a classic. i HATE re-releases though. why buy something i already have. confused just put out all the rare/un-released stuff on its own and call it a day. that's the only real reason anyone would buy it anyway.

heard the extra tracks and love them. just waiting for a new full release from beck. i usually love anything he puts out except for those two or so boring/morose albums he did, but for a few songs from both. thumbs up! love me some beck! music

Does this version have extensive liner notes etc?
I know I should have this already but not yet. And like others, I have most of the extra tracks but I'm sure I'll still get it.
Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.
