Bernie Worrell revolutionized the musicscene with this album.

That sounds so much better than the cd version that's out.

I agree again. This album put them on a higher level above any other R&B act at the time. A whole concept regarding the push and pull of corporate clean cut ordinary society against the freaks, the funkaholics, the people who love to get down.

I love the image of the bop gun stripping off the corporate George Clinton and turning him into the funked out captain of the mothership.

This album is so crisp and so complex in it's musical arrangements. Just listen to the spacey keyboards on Placebo Syndrome or the change in Funkentelechy.

The crazy harmonies in Sir Nose. It's excellent. The only other Parliament album which is neck and neck with this is Motor Booty Affair.

That album is complex in it's political themes, using water as a constant symbol.

Probably Parliament's best album. It's not my favorite. That goes to Mothership Connection, which I feel is their masterpiece. BUT this album is wicked scary. They were simply NOT fucking around when they did this album. And like I have said on here before; Bootsy needs his ass whooped for coming up with the bass line to Sir Nose. Flashlight is THE anthem of Funk. It's the kind of track that, still to this day, can make a grown motherfucker run out in the street in front of speeding cars.
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."
