I have too Actually, I'd rather have a principled artist that takes their time and delivers quality and art that relfects their depth but damn, half a damn decade? Ya know? I mean, her, D'Angelo, L-Boogie and Maxwell are suffering from the Sade syndrome. WHY? Beats the hell outta me. We can make excuses for these shiftless ass bums all day long but look back at the 70's and you'll realize that Ms.Fine Thing and her friends have it easier, WAY easier. Don't even hint to me that inspiration don't get rushed coz I don't fall for that, its cliche and a lame way-out, please. Hell, in this era of lifeless, bland, non-characteristic, unsincere and safe music, I need something to stimulate me for the long run,,,not the LONGEST run!! shit. Coz 5 years ain't gonna cut it, Jack Maybe I'm way too demanding,,,but who could blame me? Its a sad state to be hyping Erykah for being the ONLY person in mainstream music with guts and individuality. I even feel sad for the bitch,,,,you need some tough competition to make you upgrade your level and I don't even think she has any, not that I'm aware of. Oh boo fucking hoo! It's better late than never, ya ingrates!

I hate for Erykah to be gone this long but at least she was going stuff... aside from the baby she was touring, doing a few shows here and there, popping up on other people's records and videos. As for those other folk including Sade, I don't know what they're up to. And at this point I don't really care. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I know! I can't wait!!! I can't believe it's finally here. I have waited since 2004 when she said she would put out a proper full length "soon." Ha. Truth be told, I'm pissed she's skimping and only releasing half of the tracks at once. I don't need two separate albums of a total of 18 tracks spread out over two discs and a few months...i have a bad feeling about this part 2 - at this rate it'll be pushed back until 2010! i mean, 5 years and all we get on 2/26 is 10 measley songs, 2 of which i've already heard? might as well be another EP. She needs another 14-15 song opus like "Mama's Gun!" i do hafta say im glad she tours a lot - luckily since she became my fave artist in 2003, i've seen her at least once a year (and 3 times in 07) - and i am confident that even with a new 10 track set she'll continue to be a road warrior and work it across the country for years I think she really needs a live disc too - to capture her live renditions of stuff from Mama's gun and WWU - "I want you" and "kiss me on my neck" live are so brilliant, they deserve high quality treatment. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I agree with everything and just add that I also think it’s time for some sort of DVD collection or better yet a concert DVD. The world needs to see her perform I Want You live.
