Madonna MILES AWAY!!! Hi, you can hear a snippet here. It doesn't sound like Timbaland or hip hop but a typical Madonna pop song and lightweight like many of her 80s songs!

Exactly.Many people wrongly assume that this is Madonna's big R&B album,but it really isn't."Miles Away",with its acoustic guitars and pop feel,doesn't sound anything like R&B,and neither does "Give It To Me".That's why I don't believe many of the early rumors.Madonna simply made a dance/pop album,with a little R&B/street flavor.Despite the presence of Timbaland and Pharell,she didn't lose her own identity."Miles Away" is classic Madonna. | |

The most lyrical of the five songs is "Miles Away",a wistful tune about a long distance relationship....the song opens with a quickly strummed acoustic guitar,then a stuttering beat drops in and the track slowly swells until it's filled with atmospheric synths."You always seem to have the biggest heart when we're 6,000 miles apart",Madonna sings grandly,lamenting "I guess we're at our best when we're miles away".The song has a more airy aesthetic compared to the heavy beats on the other tracks,which reflects its more emotional lyrics.
