She did a really good job from what i was told, just did it very natural, she wanted to go get acting lessons for the part and the director told her NO LESSONS, i want you to play it your way. Its a strange thing still seeing her do these things ane remembering her in a club in NYC opening for Joan Rivers back in 2000 and playing clubs all over nyc and meeting and hanging with her and the band.

I understand the sort of reaction which you're having. It's the fact that you're still hanging out with her and the proverbial "boys in the band",yet it's weird to adjust to seeing your colleagues move into the transition of media spotlight & pressure, whilst you're used to seeing them raw, no frills, no defenses, etc.

Unless you're not intimately connected with the industry they're in, you'll get over it. Quick. Ultimately, it's just a job like any other...and more importantly, it's what 'they' want(ed)... wink

i went to see the movie about 3 weeks ago in a small theatre.

didn't even know it had her in it until the film started and
there she was.

i wouldn't say she was stellar or anything but she did do a
very good job. she came across as natural and her presence,
and her vibe were very nice to look at.

first instant i saw her appear i was all "oh god here we go,
another singer who has to branch out into acting" but by the
end of the film i was all "wow, very nice, she should do the
whole acting thing more often"

smile

oh, and jude law looks fucking hot in this film drool
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
