Weird Al Yankovic - Fat - Hilarious!

I think Weird Al was the best at making fun of Mike.

Weird Al is a god in general, really; not just with the Mike parodies.

I love that and "Eat It" the best However, I agree with squiddyren. He is good in general. I thought his track, "White & Nerdy" was more innovative than the orignal.

Beyond that, didn't Mike have some involvement with this? Was it letting him use the sets? Its been years since I've read a MJ biography, but I'm pretty sure it was something to that effect, for either this, or the "Eat It" video, or perhaps both.

My favorite shot is when he holds up the "woo" sign. haha. I also like when he starts moving his hands and arms, noticing that they make noise.

I'm still a fan of the original "Bad" video, the best, but can you blame me?

Regardless, great video! great artist! Thanks for posting dag!

I´ve also heard that Mike agreed to it.

Here´s Eat it. I love the way he screams at the end "whooo-ho".

Eat It is a pretty clever video. As is Fat, Like a Surgeon, Ricky and smells like Nirvana. White and Nerdy is pretty freaking hilarious too. Oh and Living with a Hernia has to be his hands down best though. He got JB down pat! I don't like all of the videos, I find some way too literal and they take away from the song. ie One More Minute and Amish Paradise.

I am actually a big fan of ALs and while I like the singles, many of the non-singles are way better.

Yeah, I listened to "Don't Download This Song" and it doesn't sound like "We Are The World." As for "Dinner" - it might be "Thriller" but I couldn't find it on iTunes.

I don't think obesity is a suitable subject for making fun of people.

Some people genuinely struggle with a poor self-image and with the vicious circle of depression - comfort eating - weight gain -depr...

biggrin Sorry, I couldn't keep it up - that was my impression of people who take threads WAY too seriously....biggrin
This is not an exit

As far as I know there is no song by Al called Dinner. He does have certain Live only songs, Like Chicken Pot Pie (Live and let die where the strings are replaced by chicken clucks). I think the above poster was kidding with the Dinner...though I can hear it now "Cuz this is Dinner(ohh hoo) Dinner Night..."

Well if you type in the following on google 'Don't Download This Song we are the world' then there are loads of sites including wikipedia who say the song by weird al is very similar or borrows the melody off 'we are the world'.

Secondly the song 'Dinner' which is more likely to be from a programme rather than being a released song was a song somebody gave me saying its weird al. Ive uploaded it so judge for yourself. smile

I love this video because if you were watching it before the video ID on MTV or MuchMusic came on you would swear they were playing "Beat It" until that thug at the counter spits his coffee out spit

Still DDTS is not a parody. It's in perhaps similar style to WATW or a bunch of other songs that sound like it. AL really has only 3 types of songs...(answered by his FAQ page)

Does Al only do parodies of other songs?

Uh, no. About half of the songs on Al's albums are originals, meaning that Al wrote the music as well as the lyrics. Some originals are in the style of another artist (like “Bob” or “Genius In France”), but they’re still entirely new compositions. If you're not sure whether a song is an original or a parody, check the writing credits in the liner notes of Al’s albums.

I have to add to this that there are complete originals that don't rip off of anything like Albuquerque (sp)

Also From Weird Al's FAQ's

I've found some songs on the Internet that are supposedly by Al, but I've never heard them on any of his albums. What the hey?

Unfortunately, there are a lot of song parodies floating around the Internet being attributed to Al which are in fact done by somebody else. "Star Wars Cantina," "Windows 95 Sucks," "Living La Vida Yoda," "Combo No. 5," "What If God Smoked Cannabis," "He Got The Wrong Foot Amputated" (the list goes on and on... some of the titles are unprintable in a family-friendly web site) - these songs are NOT by Al.
