Grammys to go on after all: writers won't picket at show Guild says it won't picket Grammy Awards
22 minutes ago LOS ANGELES - The striking writer's guild said Tuesday it has decided against picketing the upcoming Grammy Awards. However, the Writers Guild of America's board of directors has yet to grant the music industry show a waiver that would allow writers to participate, a guild spokesman said. Its still will be interesting to see who attends. I know it doesnt seem like a big deal for someone who acts like Beyonce or Jon Bon Jovi to cross a line against another union but it is, they have long memories about these things. Case in point when they had that baseball strike and players unsigned crossed that line, it was remembered by all unions. Mets pitcher back than Rick Reed was one of those players, he was never allowed to be listed as a MLB player in another form of media, meaning things like video games, etc...and he was not allowed to vote in any decisions having to do with baseball, despite being on a mlb team.
